Male infertility is any health issue related to the man which lowers the chances of his female partner’s pregnancy. It is diagnosed when the reproductive problems are found to be in the male after having tested the couple.

How common is male infertility?
In over a third of infertility cases, the problem is with the man. The problem could be either the quantity or the quality of his sperm. It is evaluated that one out of 20 men has some sort of fertility issue with low quantities of sperm. And around one in every 100 men has no sperm in his ejaculate.

What are the signs and symptoms of infertility in men?

1- Changes in sexual desires, often governed by hormones
2- Pain or swelling in the testicle area
3- Problems with maintaining an erection
4- Inability to ejaculate
5- Small, firm or flabby testicles
6-Absence or decreased facial or body hair.

What are the treatments?
One in eight infertile men has a treatable condition. The female can become pregnant naturally after the treatment The doctor may recommend the couple to seek Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART), such as IUI (Intrauterine Insemination), IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) or ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection). Though ART does not cure or treat the cause of infertility, it can help couples to achieve a pregnancy even if the man’s sperm count is very low or absent.

Your specialist will attempt to improve your fertility by either treating a basic issue (if one is found) or attempting medications that appear like it might be useful. Most often, an exact reason for infertility cannot be recognized. Regardless of the clarity of the issue, your specialist might have the ability to suggest medications that work.
